About Me
My name is Peter YI WEI (Chinese: 韋禕). Currently I am a postdoc in the Department of Mathematics, University of Arkansas-Fayetteville.
I graduated in 2025 from University of Wisconsin-Madison advised by Professor Michael Kemeny.
Before that, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 2019, from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences supervised by Professor Baohua Fu.
I work on algebraic geometry and arithmetic geometry. More specifically, I’m interested in the following:
- Geometry of (weighted) syzygies of algebraic varieties
- Brill-Noether theory of curves
- Moduli theory of curves and surfaces
You can find my full CV here (Last updated 2026.3.27).
